In addition to the following menus, we offer a varying selection of daily "Specials" for both Lunch and Dinner.

"Prime" Steak Menu

The Summertime Restaurant takes great pride in expanding its fine selection of USDA "Prime" hand cut steaks, and prime rib. The following explanation is provided to give some in sight into the care used to select this product.

"Prime" beef comes from native steer cattle. Careful evaluation by the United States Department of Agriculture ensures that only beef meeting the specifications for "Prime" beef earn the label. Only 1 out of 100 cattle exceed the specifications and are graded "Prime". Quality grades set by the USDA help predict the eating quality of beef based on marbling, maturity, and leanness. USDA "Prime" steaks are abundant with fine flecks of marbling uniformly blended in lean meat. Marbling is the main contributor to a steak's flavor and juiciness. The maturity of the cattle relates to the tenderness, color, and texture of the meat.

Our USDA "Prime" steaks are dry aged 21 to 28 days. They are tender, juicy, and loaded with flavor. The Summertime's "Prime" steaks are the same quality that is found in the finest steakhouses in Chicago, and other great cities.

   
"Prime" 8 oz Top sirloin butt steak (center cut)
Thick like a tenderloin, and almost as tender.
"Prime" 12 oz Strip Loin steak [New York strip] (center cut & denuded)
"Prime" 6 oz Tenderloin steak (center cut)
"Prime" 10 oz Tenderloin steak (center cut)
"Prime" 24 oz Porterhouse steak (center cut)

The above selections include choice of starch, house salad,
sautéed mushrooms, and our famous steak butter.
